Custom made aurorae window decoration not working

None of the stuff I add to my custom window decoration work. It only works when I replace my ####rc file with the one from another theme and I replace one of my svg with theirs. Putting my own svgs in some things. Is there anything I miss ? The only thing I found was the one documentation page I was already using.

Also I spent like an hour creating a github for it so you can find the files for it and check it out yourself, as to avoid endless description.

https://github.com/HattedRobot/Omelette/blob/main/README.md

Aren’t the svg’s not meant to contain 5 elements?

what do you mean by that ?

Is this the document that you refer to?

Checkout the button example provided in the docs.

I checked Inkscape’s options and there is an option to export as a plain svg which seems to render the svgs valid. However this removes group names so I have to change them manually. Is there any way to keep group names ?

This:

Most, if not all, aurorae svg’s that I know of contain at least 5 elements ( button states). Omelette has but 3.

I managed to make it work with 3. I figured out that my problem is that sneaky inscape doesn’t change the ids when renaming. I figued out I had to go manually in the properties. The wiki even says that buttons will default to the active state when no state is provided. I just do 3 because I don’t need the rest.

So I guess most of my problems are fixed now so you have to export as a plain SVG And go into the object properties of your svg elements on inkscape to manually change the ID.

I found this extension to rename ids to labels. Search for label-to-id by inklinea.

Alternatively you can use Inkscape XML editor (Shift + Ctrl + X).
