Custom names/labels for monitors

Would be nice to be able to name/assign labels to monitors. I have three identical model monitors that are indistinguishable in most KDE menus (the model name is so long I can’t even see the unique identifying part of the name). Being able to assign basic names, like primary, main, secondary, etc would make it easier to identify different monitors easily when adjusting brightness, etc.

Apart from being able to label them, which seems useful, is the “unique identifying part of the name” generally placed at the end of the model name? If it is, it make sense to change how model names are elided (when there’s no label): eliding after a certain point but also showing the last characters would help with this.

Actually now that I’m looking more closely, in the Display Configuration section of the System Settings, the serial number/UID is placed at the end of the name, which for me makes it invisible in the Replica of drop down box, so I have to just guess and troubleshoot until I get the correct monitor.

In the Brightness and Colour tray icon, there is no serial number/UID at all, they are all identical model names/numbers.
