This is a modified version of Camera Shake Ultimate by PakeMPC.
The original effect is too repetitive and static to my taste, and since nobody really gives a sh*t about such a niche effect, I made a fork myself. It should provide much more random, organic ‘hand-held’ movements.
This is the first time I’ve ever done anything remotely coding-adjacent. I used Grok with literally zero background knowledge.
Use it at your own risk, and it’d be appreciated if anyone reviewed the code.
Maybe consider opening a PR in Frei0r to see if they’ll accept it ?

If you forked from the official frei0r repo, just create a MR (or PR) from your changes

Also, you’re more than welcome to come up with your handmade folk if you don’t like AI involvement. I don’t give a rat’s ass about where the code is from; I just needed a plugin for this effect that nobody cared to make. 
Please do not encourage submission of AI generated code specially from people who are not devs. Most of the times it ends up overwhelming maintainers and reviewers and the code is usually not very helpful. A famous example by the Curl dev can be read about: 1 and 2. You have also seen the reports in MLT where someone promises a huge performance boost and it ends up not delivering… Not saying this is the case here, but take that into consideration for future suggestions.
I am happy you managed to make something useful for you. But you are asking for people to review you code in the wrong place…

I’m not trying to push AI usage or anything—I only mention that AI was used to be transparent.
I’m perfectly fine if someone gets inspired to hand-make a plugin from this, or scraps the code and turns it into a proper plugin by hand-coding, etc. And if people aren’t interested, they can just move along and mind their business. As obvious as it is, this is not a PR request either.
If I’m missing some rule or license issue, feel free to let me know.
Because that code base is not part of KDE/Kdenlive. The effects that Kdenlive uses come from third party projects like ffmpeg, MLT or frei0r. In your case, you’d have to submit your code to the frei0r project if you wanna get it into Kdenlive.
Yeah, not saying your doing this but check out the links I sent in another comment about how vibe coding is overwhelming devs…
It was/is not my intention of this post to ask developers to get it into Kdenlive. 
(They won’t anyway.)
I’m just sharing the custom plugin so that other users in need of this effect can find, and the comment about the review was more of: “It’d be helpful if anyone with more knowledge in programming and free time checked the code.”
I get that you may have PTSD from AI-generated PR rush (I’m aware of the recent Godot situation too.), but understand that that’s not what I’m trying to instigate here.
