Is there a way to set default wipe time?
ie When the purple dot is clicked a 1 second wipe is added, instead of 5 sec that has to shortened manually. On a project with lots of clips, ugh

Not sure if this belongs in Feature Request ?
Go to Menu > Settings > Configure Kdenlive > Misc, and set the default duration for Transitions and for Mixes
