Desktop - black screen

I encountered this problem.

OS: Arch Linux x86_64
Kernel: Linux 6.17.9-zen1-1-zen
DE: KDE Plasma 6.5.3
WM: KWin (Wayland)
CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) X3450 (8) @ 2.67 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 [Discrete]

The desktop is disappearing.
The button “Desktop rendering” in the settings menu stopped working.
Nothing happens when I click it.

Tried:

  • Reinstalling packages (kwin, nvidia, plasma)
  • Deleting settings files
    rm ~/.config/plasmashellrc
    rm ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc
    rm -r ~/.cache/plasmashell
  • fsck - some files may have been corrupted
  • Switching themes

After a few loads, the desktop returns to normal. But the rendering button still doesn’t work.
I’d like to try changing the rendering settings, but I can’t find where to change them.

I used the console
“kcmshell6 kcm_qtquicksettings”
The menu appeared, I set it to auto-detect. I rebooted.
It seemed to help.
But the button in the menu is still inactive.
