So I’ve decided to go with Fedora KDE as my newest operating system, things have been going alright but I’ve had issues here and there.
I discovered desktop effects, and I really like them. I downloaded some and set them up, and they work fine.
However after shutting down or restarting, it almost ‘forgets’ or doesn’t save them. In settings it says I have them selected but the animation is missing. I have to re-apply it for it to work again. And this happens every time I restart.
Incase it helps, my gpu is a 4060 (with nvidia drivers).
I’m on plasma 6.5.5
And the graphics platform says its Wayland
Hello, I have the same thing with Kubuntu 25.10, Plasma 6.4.5 Wayland with Aura Glow burn my windows effect. Still searching a workaround. If I can find something I’ll let you know.
I suggest you have a look through the reported issues and see if any are the same as what you’re experiencing and add your system details. Hopefully the author will update the effect.
