Icons that have Nextcloud status badge are now tiny, shrunk. This affects all filetypes that have icon previews, not just images, but also video files, text files, etc.
Filetypes that don’t have previews, just a static icon, such as the 7z file in the second screenshot, or folders (I have folder previews disabled), are not affected. If I enable folder previews then the same thing happens to folder icons inside Nextcloud dir.
This affects all three view modes, even in Icon View Mode the previews are smaller than they should be.
Files on the left are inside the Nextcloud dir, files on the right are on the desktop.
This icon shrinkage also affects dot files everywhere, not just in Nextcloud dir, as long as they’re not empty.
Also, I don’t know if it’s related, but I can’t get any video files to show icon previous in Plasma 6.3 any more now, regardless of their location. I have the option for video files previews enabled in Dolphin and in Desktop settings, no preview size limit, and none of mp4 and mov files show previews unless they have a thumbnail embedded in the file tag/metadata. I tried installing additional gstreamer and ffmpeg codecs but that didn’t do anything.
This used to work before I updated to 6.3, except for videos encoded with H.265, but now it happens to all older videos including H.264.
I even did a clean Fedora 41 KDE install in a VM and it has this the same issues.
So, something bugged with the file previews?
Thank you.
