Digikam crashes when doing AI GPU Test

When I try to test my GPU for AI GPU test Digikam just crashes when Digikam goes to process called " Preparing face for extraction ". By the way and hope this not annoying, but I already reported this issue on kde bugzilla. I just want to get more information about this issue since I haven’t gotten any respond on my bug report or my bug report was correct.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Go to Setting → Miscellaneous → System → Test GPU AI compatibility
  2. Do the test and for a minute or two it crashes

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20260610
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.26.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
Kernel Version: 7.0.11-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor
Memory: 16 GiB of RAM (15.5 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 580 Serie

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
And one more thing I have this Enviroment variables for Digikam because without this Digikam won’t recognize my gpu and will just prompt with

" Error: OpenCL is not available on this system.

Test failed. Your system may not be able to use GPU acceleration for the AI models. ".

But when I add the Variables It recognize my GPU and OpenCL. This the Enviroment Variables: " RUSTICL_ENABLE=radeonsi "

This the Crashed Processes Viewer give me when digikam crashes:

@projectmirai39:

That’s possibly fixed with digiKam 9.1 and this Bug Report (it didn’t crash but the hardware is similar and “Test GPU AI Compatibility” is involved) → <OpenCL not detected on AMD RADEON RX 470 card>

  • I have no idea when Tumbleweed will receive the 9.1 release …
