Hello everyone,
I’d like to suggest an improvement for the album list search on the left panel. At the moment, the search is quite basic, but it could become much more powerful and flexible if it supported:
- Full regex (regular expression) search – allowing more advanced pattern matching.
- Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT, etc.) – to combine multiple search terms in a logical way.
This would make it easier to navigate large collections, especially for users who rely on consistent naming patterns or need to filter albums with more complex criteria (like me).
I believe such functionality could significantly improve the workflow for many users and help make digiKam’s search capabilities even more versatile.
