Disable intermittent URL sharing behavior when highlighting/copying a URL with ctrl-c

Is KDE causing this? Ever since updating to KDE Plasma 6.4.5, KDE Framework 6.18.0, Qt Version 6.9.2, on Xorg I see the following:

In some apps, select a URL and hit Ctrl-C. Often, a share menu will pop up that lists a bunch of sharing destinations, and a cancel option. (See screensehot)

There’s no identification as to the name of this feature, nor do I see anything in system settings.

Is this the result of KDE? If so, how can I turn this slop off?

Some further sleuthing when writing this post led me to this commit which apparently broke things: klipper: remove the "disable this popup" menu item · KDE/plasma-workspace@5762c3f · GitHub

Something about removing that option reverted the behavior on my system to showing that intrusive and unwanted pop-up (as the author correctly predicted it would be perceived as).

When I finally managed to find this setting (“Action Menu” in the settings for Klipper) the option “Immediately on selection” was checked.

KDE or my distro shipped with “Immediately on selection” checked (as it’s not something I enabled) and I must’ve overriden the intrusive menu at some point. With the removal of that feature it reverted to its default functionality. That exact commit may not be the commit responsible, but it’s related to it and the two linked bugs: 412264 and 503862
