I would like to automatically disable screen lock / power save when a second display is attached.
I believe this was possible in the past, but I can’t find any setting for it.
For now, I can get something like this by enabling activities and disable screen lock for a “presentation activity”, but are there other possibilities?
This will happen automatically when screens are mirrored; Plasma reasons that you’re presenting when using this mode.
If you prefer to present with an external screen in extended desktop mode rather than mirroring, then nothing happens automatically because Plasma has no way of realizing that you’re presenting. In such a circumstance, it’s up to you or the app you’re using to communicate this to the system. You can manually block sleep and screen locking using the “Power and Battery” widget in your system tray, and well-behaved apps will automatically do this, too. For example video players can do it while watching a video. A high quality presentation app will inhibit them while you’re in full-screen presentation mode.
Yeah, I thought so. The problem is, I’m always mirroring the screen, but this does not inhibit power save. Do you have any pointers where I should start investigating?

Oh, I think I might have mis-remembered: we automatically turn on Do Not Disturb mode when mirrored, but don’t disable power management. Might make sense to do that too. Feel free to open a bug report about it.
