Discover not updating nor showing update process

After putting in root password, Discover is not showing the update process nor updating after all updates are installed. I have to hit refresh to get it to show that I need to reboot.

Strange. No such problem in Debian Testing with KDE Plasma 6.5.1.

you have non-lts upgrades turned on and likely offline updates as well?

if you don’t want that system upgrade to block your refresh then you need to change the settings in software sources > updates > release upgrade

set it to long term support releases only

and it should not longer offer you the upgrade button.

also check in discover > settings > software update

and uncheck the use offline updates box

I’ll check on that computer.
On the current computer Discover shows what’s going to be installed and the install process.
Let me compare setting and the groups (jonzn4SUSE trusted users wheel) the user is in.

yeah, that’s what i see after i changed those settings as described.

under the three dots in the upper right corner you should find the offline updates box unchecked

and if you go to software settings you should find “LTS releases only”

yes?

In my settings on the original computer, there is nothing about offline. see screenshot
The 3 dots brings me to the Software update the few options in the screenshot

settings and that’s all I see.

apply system updates: * immediately.

the way your settings show here is the “offline” mode that forces a reboot after every update (for “stability”)… the wording is just different.

but you also want to go to software sources and set long term releases only

you can access this from settings > drivers > updates tab

or use sudo software-properties-qt in a terminal window
