I’ve been running into a bug where after some time of cutting and arranging video clips, Dissolve won’t apply to the Video anymore but it applies to the Audio instead. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I use “X” and “S” to switch between Cut and Select, CTRL+Z to Undo, and I’ve created a keyboard shortcut to close the Clip Monitor that is “C”.
It doesn’t happen right away, but more like 75% of the way through a video, I’ll notice that Dissolve isn’t working like it had just before. I can normally click-and-drag Dissolve from the Compositions Tab onto a junction where two clips meet, it’ll highlight that space Red, then I release the mouse and I get a new box that is the Dissolve. I can usually click on that space and change the effect to one I’ve downloaded from the internal browser, but it won’t be on the Video track it’ll be applied to the Audio track instead. Making a fade(?) to the Audio, where-as just before it would’ve made a cool effect on the Video.
Can anyone help?
Is there something that I may be hitting on accident that is changing how the effect is being applied?
I don’t want to have to learn another new software as Resolve started acting weird before I moved to Kdenlive.
