Can all this be safely uninstalled? I don’t use any of the KDE email, calendar, contact apps, only Thunderbird. Sorry devs, no hate for the apps at all, it’s that I have been using Tbird for over a decade on other OSs and I have no need for any of these apps. Thanks.
You do not need those, but only if you really happen to not use any app that uses Akonadi.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure. None of these: kmail, knotes, kjots, korganizer, kalarm, akregator, kaddressbook, kontact. It’s just Thunderbird for mail and all my contacts, calendars and notes live on the web in Nextcloud and Google so I access them using Firefox. I’m gonna test this in a VM first then, to be sure.
Wow… there was even an instance of MariaDB running associated with akonadi??? 16 processes and Maria DB, that’s a bit too much for something I don’t use
Thanks!
