I’m using Kubuntu 24.04 since about 3 months and am very satisfied with it.
Now I need to extract some old lzh archives. As normal in Dolphin it opened Ark and Ark did show the files in the archive. When I started to extract the content in the archive to my hard disk it did display the message:
“Das Entpacken ist fehlgeschlagen. Überprüfen Sie, ob genügend Speicherplatz vorhanden ist.” It means there might be no sufficient space for the extracted file.
The file size of the archived file is 1.9 KB. Free space on my disk is 490 GB.
I discussed it with the Ubuntu Forum and the said that maybe the package for lzh files, which is called “lhasa” is not installed. So I installed LHASA but there was no success, Ark did not extract the files in the lzh archive.
Finally I extracted it with Engrampa and it is ok.
Now my questions:
Does Ark support lzh archives?
If yes, do I need to install additional packages?
