Dolphin folder icons suddenly all white

This happened over night:

I can’t seem to find a way to fix it. In KDE Settings, the icon theme is set to “Breeze”.

When I select a folder, it gets the blue icon again.

Also, I found my Dolphin config all weird this morning with the folder pane and terminal pane at the bottom and info pane on the right all enabled. I usually just have the places pane and that’s it.

I’m on Fedora Kinoite 40.20250212.0 with KDE Plasma version 6.0.3

What happens if you create a new user and log in?

Or perhaps rename mv .config .configBORKED and then log in again?

The way to fix this in KDE Settings might be to open the colours dialog and select a different colour scheme…

However, issues such as this might be par for the course playing with a new immutable system…

I would say that this issue would be better served in a Fedora Kinoite forum, I’m sure it’s not a Plasma issue to be honest.

sure sure

i thought the point of these systems is they would NOT change over nite and could not change over nite.

I think the only difference of mutable/immutable is the base system. Everything in the /home folder is mutable of course. But shouldn’t it be left alone by system updates anyway? Or can updating an RPM/DEB package change some config in /home?

shouldn’t, but we are talking about theming issues by the sound of it an themes can get updates in discover.

i would stick to breeze

I never had ANY Linux system ever ‘change overnight’ without some form of update/upgrade or user interaction…

I updated again - this time I got the Plasma 6.3 upgrade - and it was suddenly fixed.

Nevermind!
