so… of course my laptop decided to shut itself off when i moved it 
I may have switched primary OS’s but apparently my crazy computer luck of “weird out there problems that stump people” is completely unaffected! 
Since my laptop restarted, Konsole was definitely restared, and unfortunately, though it says the menu bar is enabled, it’s somehow still not there
