Hello,
I am not sure if this is a bug or I am doing something wrong. I am open to suggestions.
To reproduce this behaviour, do the following:
- open Dolphin in split mode, then open different folders in each pane
- create a new tab with two panes, and open folders in each of them, different from the folders on tab 1
- on tab 1, in the left pane, click in the path line, as if you would like to edit it, but do nothing there, just click somewhere in the left pane; this selects this pane
- on tab 2, in the right pane, select something by dragging; do this directly, without touching the path line.
- use a keyboard shortcut, such as Ctrl+X, as if you want to cut the selection to move it elsewhere; the expected behaviour at this point is that the selection is dimmed, meaning that the system awaits for you to navigate to the destination folder to paste the cut selection.
- however, at least on my system, the left pane on tab 2 changes to selection mode instead; it is as if the right panel was not selected when I clicked in it to make my selection to be cut.
The workaround that I have found is to click once in the path line of the right pane of the second tab, then everything works correctly.
my system is like this
