Dolphin stretches toolbar when aligned to left

I just hopped to postmarketOS and I wanted to be like those crazy people that move Dolphin’s sidebar to the left. It litterally STRETCHES it. I can’t see my files now. I compared Dolphin vs. GNOME Files to show how good they are when in a size.

Does this even look fine?

And for anyone that was wondering… yes these are my wallpapers I am submitting for the upcoming pmOS release.

Please provide the outputs of:

kinfo

and

dolphin --version

Also, you should be able to move it back to where it was (or somewhere else):

  • Right-click on any toolbar icon (like the Back or Forward).
  • Check or uncheck “Lock Toolbar Positions”.
  • Orientation > Choose a location.

EDIT:
Just tried to do it myself. I get the same result as the OP.

I don’t seem to be able to have 2 toolbar panels on the same side. When I drag one over to the other edge without a panel the area expands to indicate where the panel will pin once I drop it but if a panel is already there it doesn’t do that. I can however get it to drop above or below the existing panel.

Same versions except on Manjaro testing

Theme related perhaps? I’m on the new Oxygen.

To achieve this, unlock the panels (right click on Places label), then with the dolphin window not maximized, you can drag and drop the panel to the right.

And finally lock the panel back.
