Dolphin's "Open Terminal Here" doesn't work correctly - Plasma 6

  1. If a Terminal is already opened, no new one is opened.

  2. When no Terminal is opened, one gets opened to the home folder and not the current folder displayed by Dolphin.

Is there known fixes for these or do I need to report these bugs ? If so, where ?

can confirm in plasam 5 that Alt+Shift+F4 will open a new terminal window for each item in the correct folder.

Can confirm in my Plasma 6 it works as intended. Just tried with a couple of folders, one even 4 layers deep and it works.

Working fine in Plasma 6 for me as well. No issues.

What terminal app are you using? Konsole, or something else?

I have Ptyxis as my default terminal, and I get the same behaviour you do.

If I change the default terminal to Konsole (and restart Dolphin), then I get the “correct” behaviour.

Maybe the bug is around using non-Konsole terminal apps?

I’m using Terminal.

I’m using Terminal. Changing the default app to Konsole fixed it so not going to look further into it, Terminal is probably to blame on this one
