I don’t know who defined this behavior or why but it’s bugging me off. I need this to work. It needs to not be stupid and that’s a tall order apparently, with wayland.
First of all, the mouse and tablet have separate locations saved for unknowable reasons. This means a lot of my workflow (Rapid switching between mouse and pen for diferent tasks) becomes outright schizophrenic, and that the behavior becomes erratic if both the mouse and tablet are moving at the same time- the pointer teleports all over the screen, probably at the devices’ polling speeds as they overwrite each other’s positions.
Second, I can’t find a way to set the pointer’s speed with wayland. X had a setting for that, but I can’t even find an equivalent to xsetwacom under wayland, and I’m starting to get the impression there’s none and you’re just at the mercy of whatever the GUI lets you tell the background settings daemon or whatever the driver uses. I need to move my pen across my tablet several times to get it from one corner of the screen to the other. This isn’t acceptable.
