Hi, I have a new Msi laptop. It has dual boot Windows11 + Kubuntu 24.10.
I have updated the BIOS to solve GPU recognition problems. It worked but now, when I select Kubuntu in the GRUB menu, the MSI and Kubuntu logos stay forever as if it was loading but never ends. I think it is related with the BIOS update because I haven’t changed anything. I tried with recovery mode but didn’t worked. I’m new at this so I don’t really know what to do now.
the defaults that load when you flash a new bios will turn fast boot and secure boot back on.
you probably want to go in there an turn both of those things back off.
also might want to go into windows and disable the fast boot option from that side as well as run any disk checking and repairs that are suggested.
when you are done fully shutdown windows so that you have to log in each time you boot to windows.
I already tried that but it didn’t work
