Metadata Edits

It says:

If you select many items from the icon-view, the metadata editor dialog allow to process the selection. With the Previous and Next buttons, you can navigate between items. The current filename and the index in the selection are given on the dialog title. A preview of current item is visible on the dialog header from the top.

But does not describe the “OK” button.

I assume that the “OK” Should apply edits to all the currently selected items?

But this does not appear to work.

Edit Metadata (frustratingly) only works one one image at a time. Next and previous apply the current metadata to the current image and move one spot up or down the list. OK applies the current metadata to the current image and closes the dialog.
