i have noticed a month or two ago that electron applications do not seem to obey window transparency settings when maximized, but only when maximized.
most notably, obsidian and discord are affected by this. presumably other electron programs as well but i don’t use many so i don’t have any others to test with other than vscode, which i already have a plugin installed that explicitly enables that.
currently the only solution i have is to force the window in question to be one pixel shy of maximized using a window rule. but that only works for discord since i don’t move that window, for obsidian, i do quite frequently.
i use desktop widgets and other things under windows quite frequently, so it is helpful to be able to quickly check something under a window by controlling transparency, in addition to the aesthetic appeal.
does anyone have any other suggestions for quick-fixes i might be able to try?
