Elisa: track order is incorrect

Hi,

I’m not sure if this is a bug, something I have misconfigured, or just not a feature of the player. I recently installed KDE Manajaro and am getting my music set up.

The issue involves the order of items in “Tracks” view. I have them sorted A-Z artist, and the artists sort correctly. The albums populate in seemingly random order. The tracks on each album are all listed together, as appropriate, but they also populate in seemingly random order. I have tried different sorting methods, but none of these orders the songs in track order within each album when viewing my entire library in artist order. This is opposite to almost every music player I’ve used, which show the album in correct track order when viewing the full catalog. Example in the attached photo. “I Never Lose. Never Really” is track 1 on October Language, and “Kid for Today” is track 1 on In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country.

Hi! It looks like you’re experiencing the issue described in this report on the KDE Bugtracking System: 490164 – Sorting tracks in Tracks view by album does not sort the tracks in each album by track number

If you’d like, you can add yourself to the CC list in Bugzilla for that bug - that way, you can get email notifications whenever new comments are added, or the status is changed. Making sure the “Add me to CC list” option is checked, then choosing “Save Changes”, will add you:

Thank you! I searched the bugtracker but managed to miss it, not sure what I was doing. I marked the issue solved as it is being handled on the bug tracker. If that’s inappropriate let me know and I will un-solve.
