It would be great if Emoji Selector (plasma-emojier) would type in the active text box instead of just copying the symbol to the clipboard.
Also would be nice if it would close for the first ESC; now the 1st one clears the search box and the 2nd one closes the Selector.
Current experience: Super+. –> type –> Enter –> ESC, ESC –> CTRL+V
Desired experience: Super+. –> type –> Enter –> ESC
+100 on this! This change would 1) mirror the Windows behaviour 2) would be way more user-friendly.
It would be even nicer if the picker tried to appear near the cursor.
Probably the latter is easier said then done…

Actually, I think it’s been requested already ( Emojier as a KPart (#7) · Issues · Plasma / Plasma Desktop · GitLab ) but I’m not sure what happened to it. It’s closed and I think they moved it elsewhere but I don’t know enough about that system to work out where.
