Encrypting multiple files without re-entering password

Hello,

is it already possible somehow to encrypt multiple files with Kleopatra (e.g. over the Windows context menu -> More GpgEX Options -> Encrypt) and selecting Encrypt with password without the need to enter the password again and again for every file I selected?

If I want to encrypt single files this is really annoying. Should there be no possibility to do so, is this the right place for a feature request?

Hi Manuel,

Thank you for pointing me to this post.

As it is not good practice to use a symmetric password repeatedly, your desired workflow is not possible in Kleopatra.

If you want to encrypt several files with one password, select them all in the explorer and then choose encrypt in the context menu. Then an archive with all selected files is created in one go.

Or you can use public key encryption instead.

Thank you for the explanation. Now it is clear, why this is not possible.
