Export Frame as .kra or .krz or some other layered image format

I’m in a bit of a dilemma where I have an edited video, but I would like to storyboard an animation over it. Sure, I could do that with other methods like screenshotting the frame and importing it as a reference layer, but then I don’t get all the layer data from the frame. Manually recreating the frame in Krita would be a pain to do.

I know The roadmap for intercompatibility is a really long ways away. Just hoping for a holdover while I wait for the next 60 years.

Have you looked at Glaxnimate? It integrates with Kdenlive.

In the Project Bin, right-click empty space and select Create Animation. See the chapter Titles and Graphics in the Kdenlive Manual
