External Devices Not Working

Hello,

We are switching our RHEL 9 VDI Desktops from Gnome to KDE and are having some problems with our external USB Devices. We have USB thumb drives and an external Blue-Ray burners that mount fine on the Gnome Desktops, but once we connect them to our KDE sessions they are seen according to the logs but aren’t mounted. In Gnome they are mounted to sdb[0-9] but KDE doesn’t even create a device when they are plugged in.

Has anyone seen this before?

This specific thing is most likely caused by an issue deeper in the stack than any KDE code; KDE isn’t involved with allocating the block devices.
