Hey everyone,
I’m experiencing painfully slow file transfers between my Android phone running GrapheneOS and my Ubuntu laptop using KDE Connect.
It doesn’t matter if I use KDE Connect or GSConnect on my laptop; the transfer speeds are abysmal, maxing out at around 300 KB/s. This makes transferring files take forever. I’m only transferring single files, not multiple small files.
For instance, uploading files to my Proton Drive and then downloading them to my PC is about 50 times faster on the same network.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Disabled battery optimizations for KDE Connect on my GrapheneOS phone
- Kept KDE Connect on my phone open during transfer
- Specifically allowed ports 1714-1764 for UDP and TCP, but still no improvement.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions on how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
