I would like to be able to use all of the thumbnails generated by Digikam for the faces of a selected person. This would provide a nice collection of all the faces for that person, which you could use to create a timeline, a collage, a mosaic, etc. There are people in my collection where I have over 3,000 photos for the same person, so there would be plenty to choose from.
The thumbnails are already sitting in the database waiting to be extracted, but I lack the programming skills to pull them out. There is an existing feature request from 2020 that is asking more or less the same thing, but since it is now five years old and I didn’t find a similar discussion here, I decided to post about it.
