My idea for feature request is for there to be similar to “Flatpak permissions” tab for other applications where you can sandbox or edit permissions of any application installed for example installed Appimage, rpm or deb.
Currently in system settings there are only 2 options in tab “Application Permissions” which are “Flatpak permissions” and X11 app support.
As I was able to find following GUI application permissions managers:
I am trying to block a markdown application from automatically downloading remote images. The dev won’t implement an option so I will have to block all internet access for the application. Without this GUI, it looks like I’ll have to find out how to access apparmor through the CLI. Adding the GUI to KDE Plasma would be great and consistent with the Flatpak support and general KDE Plasma philosophy.
AppAnvil is not available in the Debian repository and I’d rather not download random dependencies.
To be fair that menu could support Firejail considering that it would be cross distro, because some distros use Apparmor, SElinux or don’t utilize neither.
