(Fedora 41 KDE) Folder named "Unknown Organization" in .config folder that has exactly one file

Hey all. So, there’s something I’ve been curious about recently, and I’m not sure if it’s a bug or not, so I’m posting about it here.

I recently installed Fedora 41 KDE, and in my .config folder, there is a folder called “Unknown Organization” and it has exactly one file in it. That file is named “akonadi_unifiedmailbox_agent.conf_changes.dat”.

I simply find the fact that it’s in a folder called “Unknown Organization” fairly odd, and I do not know if this is normal, a bug, or something nefarious.

Whenever I delete the file or folder, it stays gone until I reboot my system, and upon reboot, the folder and file both re-create themselves.

Google has been no help, so any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! It’s a bug, reported here in the KDE Bugtracking System  452565 – Akonadi is creating "Unknown Organization" in $HOME/.config
