Every now and then, as an artist, I run back into this issue where the file uploading gui lacks a “icons” view. In dolphin, you have the option between those alternate view modes, yet not when uploading files to websites etc.
Just wondering if I’m missing something. Been dailying Plasma for years and this is the one little thing that keeps popping up.

As i understand it the file picker dialog box is a separate tool from dolphin and not all applications will augment it like dolphin does.
so if you find an application that is missing the icons view, you would need to file feature request (for KDE applications) or take it up with developer directly.
in most cases you can just drag and drop from dolphin tho, so i would only resort to the file picker if drag and drop was not supported.
