Currently, KDE Connect mirrors notifications from the connected device, which is very useful. However, in many cases users may only want notifications from specific applications instead of receiving notifications from every app.
I would like to suggest adding an application-level notification filter to KDE Connect. This could allow users to:
-
Choose which apps are allowed to send notifications to the connected device.
-
Create a whitelist (only selected apps) or blacklist (exclude selected apps).
-
Reduce notification clutter from less important apps.
-
Improve focus while still receiving important notifications such as messages, emails, calendar reminders, or calls.
For example, I might want notifications from WhatsApp, Telegram, and Gmail, but not from games, shopping apps, or social media applications.
This feature would give users more control over their notification experience and could make KDE Connect more practical for everyday use.
What do others think about this idea?
