I know it isn’t possible to get Hulu or Disney plus apps on this OS yet. However, I was wondering if it were possible to have Firefox shortcuts to the webpages of these services directly on the home screen instead of having to first open Firefox and find the favorites bar.

not familiar with all the workings of “bigscreen” but it’s plasma underneath so you should be able create a launcher that that opens an instance of firefox on a specific page and then just just add it to your home screen like any other .desktop application.
you may need to log in to the desktop to do the set up but once back in bigscreen it should appear like any other app.
I created a new linux application that opens a firefox URL in kiosk mode. You can set a custom icon to match the website you wish to use and its immersive like a TV should be.
By creating a shortcut application in linux you’re able to add whaterver website shortcut to your main menu “Favorites”. I had to log out and back in to make the applications appear on the list.
Kiosk mode wont work if you have any other instances of firefox open.
