Check /var/log/warn to find out error messages from kscreenlocker_greet. If there is a line saying kscreenlocker_greet[211385]: pam_pkcs11(kde-smartcard:auth): Failed to initialize crypto, remove /etc/pam.d/kde-smartcard and the lock screen should work as expected again.
