Flameshot Screenshots not available in Clipboard

KDE-Plasma Version 5.27.5
KDE Frameworks-Version: 5.103.0
Kernel Version: 6.1.0-28-amd64

Reproduction steps:

  1. Open flameshot
  2. Take a screenshot and copy it to the clipboard using CTRL +C
  3. Paste it e.g. in LibreOffice Writer.

In earlier versions of KDE on my other machine it did work (Debian 11)
Now it says there is nothing in the clipboard. For texts it works as expected but not for screenshots from flameshot

Click on an image then copy it using CTRL+C works as expected too.

what are your configuration settings for the clipboard?

These are my settings:

I also tried your settings - no success

Also a reset to the defaults with apply did not help

Same plasma version. Unless you mean it’s not in the clipboard at all, it’s something with libreoffice. I installed flameshot to check and I can’t reproduce the issue.

Google Docs:

Flameshot says: “Capture saved to clipboard” but it is not in the clipboard list.

The settings of flameshot is the same as you showed. Spectacle works and I can see the screenshot in the clipboard list and I can paste it into LibreOffice Writer and gimp etc.

Is it possible that flameshot does not have rights to prepend it to the clipboard list?

Could you please share your clipboard config settings?

Weird. This is a standard flameshot package right? Not a flatpak or, god forbid, snap?
Anyhow, if spectacle’s ok, your clipboard will be as well.

K, thanks. Same settings here. Yes, the standard package “sudo apt install flameshot” (debian)

Well, then I need to use spectacle.

Dank je wel.

Well, I guess you could try some settings in Flameshot…

…but, imho, Spectacle and Ksnip are better tools. Of the two, Ksnip has a bit more options.
