Flatpak beta version

Hi!
The current version of audiotube on Flatpak is 25.12.3, which is quite old, and is missing Deno in its package.

I’ve successfully tried the flatpak from Artifacts · Multimedia / AudioTube · GitLab but it’s a bit difficult to update them automatically.

On top of that, the snap package is more up-to-date ( Install AudioTube on Linux | Snap Store 26.04.0 as of today), but since I’m using Debian, I can’t install it easily.

Is it plan to have a beta/debug channel on Flathub for unstable releases of Audiotube?

Flathub is used for stable versions. 25.12.3 is the current stable version, 26.04 will be released April 16, see Schedules/KDE Gear 26.04 Schedule - KDE Community Wiki. The version on Flathub may not be updated right away, it depends when someone has time to do it.

To make it easier to update the nightly version, you can install it and add the nightly repo by running:

flatpak install --user --or-update https://cdn.kde.org/flatpak/audiotube-nightly/org.kde.audiotube.flatpakref

Are you sure? I added that on Flathub month ago, and as far as I can tell the yt-dlp in the stable flatpak is working fine.

Flathub is the preferred distribution method for AudioTube currently. The snap is not actively tested.

Flatpak are reaaaaaally confusing. (Sorry for the rest, I’m not allowed to post links…)

Commit 356d497e354ab1b76f883e271c16c37600f8819f (in Audiotube repo) is only part of 26.03.80.
But the commit ab2ba74d3fedb85d8561c4e099d3f9f1414647df (in flathub/org.kde.audiotube) is merged into the Flatpak build. And version on Flathub is 25.12.3.

That’s not easy to spot what’s inside what
