Took a better look at Floorp. Stupid name, not to bad browser. Has some nice UI features and, although based on it ( and with a ton more functionality out of the box), seems a bit snappier than FF.
Personally I certainly prefer it over Librewolf. Changed a little bit in the default settings but added an arkenfox user.js. Also nice for folks that aren’t very good in css ( for the userChrome and such) btw. Dunno, maybe someone who never heard of it might like it.

Yepp, in LibreWolf it is the downside that you can’t switch to a dark theme.
Floorp can, however I installed it as a flatpak so this limits themeing it color-wise.
I admit it is a nice browser, more than the name I think that the icon is outdated, or better: not my cup of tea. I spend some time looking, but I couldn’t find any fitting decent icon online as a replacment.
Try the firefox color addon. Myeah, that icon…Good lord man. I bet they had a toddler day at kintergarten for which child could draw the best icon. Hence…check the task for Floorp on my panel. The one I use is an svg 75%.
But this is the png.
This is what the addon looks like:
Naw I avoid blue
A color pick from my avatar?
Got a hex-color?
5 of them
#754848
#DFB69B
#D27B50
#8D564F
#A47519
How did you make floorp transparent on new tab btw?
Hmmm not sure I understand what you mean. Euh, if you use an arkenfox user.js, the new tab is always blank. What you put in the userContent file will determine the background-color. Well, that is, it’s one of those new “features” of the mozilla “rocket scientists” to put that color in the about:config nowadays. In either case, startpage and new tab is always blank for me. It also helps with canvas fingerprinting.
But in case you wonder why there’s no tab, that’s a setting in my userChrome. No tab when only one stuff. I use a few bits and bops from my firefox userChrome. Less of course, since some stuff comes by default on floorp. Like an autohidden bookmarkbar for example.
Yeah, those hex colors you sent. No prob. Wasn’t sure what you meant by your avatar so…
Wow dank jou zo wel I will use that !
I’ve got the others in case you should change your mind.
Beautiful ! svg-cli-ma-gic
Remember, those are 64X64 PNG. If you want to scale them for usage on, for example, a panel ( with fixed padding), you’ll need to scale them in a svg tool like Inkscape and save them as svg’s.
If you look at my screenshot, that icon is relatively small. That’s because it’s an svg with a 75% scale factor.
Mind you, I’m still on 5 so I can use fancy tasks which allows sizing tasks if I want.
But here’s the Inkscape thing.
those icons rock, its a shame my profile pic and wallpaper wont work with that though.
You can run some in Gimp though. You only need to colorize them.
I suggest that you try Zen Browser, also based on Firefox (follows Firefox releases). Although it is still an Alpha release (updating every couple of days) I enjoy the speed and the customizations. Being an Alpha release there a few little things, but no deal breakers.
I tried Floorp and didn’t like it, nor Garuda’s Firedragon which is based on Floorp.
Zen Browser is of no use to me. There’s no way to have horizontal tabs and apparently there are no plans for it. Not a reeeeeal breaker BUT, zen browser doesn’t respect my userChrome. I tried several options…no go. And that’s a total dealbreaker for me.
Edit: I deleted and changed a bunch of stuff in the userChrome and some small things seem to work. However, there’s no way to set the browser window to a custom color or use a FF theme. Only parts of it. I looked it up and the designer confirmed this is a work in progress. No biggie if you run the thing in compact mode with pretty much everything hidden. Still, that hidious brownish root window is um…well. So, only three theme options by default. And even with the system theme, there seems to be an overlay. But yeah, work in progress.
But there’s something else that is awkward, to say the least. If you use an arkenfox js, it only does certain parts. Some security settings seem hardcoded in Zen browser. As a matter of fact, there seem to be less privacy and security settings in zen overall.
