Currently when you open the widget and access any folder then close the widget, the last accessed folder location is not saved.
So when you reopen the widget you are at the root of the main folder that you chose for the configuration of your widget.
I think it would practical to have a configuration option to save the last accessed folder so you find it when you reopen the widget.
What are your opinions?
Imo, that widget should’ve gotten a total revamp yeaaaars ago. Yes, I agree that a recently used directory should be an option. Forget about setting it to recent documents or timeline. Doesn’t work and even if it should ( you can set it to ~/.local/share/Recentwhatever if you like), it doesn’t show thumbnails. And what’s with the smooth scrolling or non-sizeable window?! I mostly use the thing on my panel to drag n drop stuff as attachments but at some point I used a minimal rox filer window instead cause it drove me nuts having to change directories on each launch. Go figure.
