I recently downloaded a font (.otf format) and i installed the regular and light “variations” with the default KDE system settings font manager thingy. However, i decided that i wanted to install ALL the variations (Bold, semibold, etc etc) so i deleted the font and added it again, with all its variations.
However, this time it told me that both the regular and light variations (the ones i installed before) are already installed. When i press skip, it installs the rest of the fonts but now the regular and light ones dont appear. Its like they are installed internally but the program cant “read” them for some reason.
I have tried multiple times, i have tried resetting the laptop. I assume these fonts are installed in some location and i have to manually delete them for it work, but i dont know WHERE that location is.
I also tried the “find duplicate fonts” option, but to no avail.
Try removing them manually by finding the font files in both ~/.local/share/fonts/ for local and /usr/share/fonts/ for system wide installations. Restart your pc then install the font with all groups again
