while working on some color scheme related changes, I realized font ligatures had stopped working in the terminal (even though the sample text section (when choosing a font) shows ligature text properly)).
While I was able to resolve that through this post: https://discuss.kde.org/t/font-ligatures-stopped-working-in-konsole/33516 , when I tried typing in the console it seems like a blank padding is being created between the text and cursor that grows as the text grows. this is the text when word mode under complex text layout is enabled (notice how far ahead the cursor runs from the last character
and this is with word mode disabled:
I’m on konsole version 25.04.1, and using the pragmata pro mono liga font.
