Freetube appears as 'chromium' in the audio & volume panel

Am I correct in the assumption, that the app should correctly report itself to the OS/DE to be displayed properly in this menu? Could this be rechecked by plasma to make sure the displayed appname is the apps name or would this be an unneccesseary check that the DE would be burdened by because of upstream shenanigans?
On a related note, I was prompted to check my current panel because of this merge request.

Are there other apps that misreport themselves, like other elctron apps for which this could be further explored?

Hi - I think you’re correct in that assumption, based on the developer comments on this bug report for seemingly the same underlying issue: 498044 – Muting one Electron app via the sound icon on an app's icon will mute multiple others

Sounds like these apps may not set suitable hints for us to differentiate them. May well need fixing in the apps.

Indeed, it seems like Electron application do not handle this correctly, and there’s probably not much we can do on our side :-/
