Garuda really for beginners?

What do I have to do to get my mouse working, right now it does what it wants, closing programs and tabs in firefox, pasting multiple times when I’m trying to left-click items. Nothing I have found online even comes close to fixing any of this. How can I get my mouse to work exactly like in Kubuntu?

I’m really not tring to be an ass here but if this is going to take hours of work to get a mouse running, then please just say so, and I’ll look elsewhere for a gaming distro. Or just use the Kubuntu install that has worked perfect from the start.

Since it apparently works on Kubuntu it might not be anything on the KDE side but a distribution setup issue.

Maybe check on a Garudo support channel instead

Since Kubuntu works it doesn’t seem like a hardware problem.

I use kubuntu and gaming on steam works just fine using the native steam package… i don’t think garuda holds any special advantages in that regard, and i would def not consider it over kubuntu unless you know exactly what advantages you are getting.

@Jeramy_Jennings, it might be a good idea to search for Garuda support on THEIR support forum…

It’s Garuda and they have a forum, but I would strongly suggest before posting there for the OP use a grammar checker and include what they’re running in there post not just as the title. Jeramy a bit of advice if you do create a help request there make sure you read the info before creating your post, and when making your post provide your garuda-inxi as requested there.

On a side note try changing the usb port for you mouse dongle. I’m assuming it’s a wireless mouse since a wired mouse should never have a issue on any distro.
