GMic with kdenlive?

I wasn’t sure where else to post this, but one killer thing I really wish was part of kdenlive was gmic, the image/video effects application/library. It’s part of flowblade, but that isn’t as good as kdenlive. Granted, for now, I can use gmic on the command line, but it would be wonderful to see gmic part of the program. Is there anything that must be done before it could even begin to be implemented? What devs do I have to pass this request along to? Thank you for any help.

Hi, and welcome back.

It’s best to open a [Feature Request] in the official Kdenlive bug tracker. The dev team will pick it up from there and decide whether to pursue this and when.

The roadmap of Kdenlive is already pretty full, and donations help to get some stuff done.

There were some tests from a Tobias who managed implementing G’MIC into Kdenlive: G'MIC for OpenFX and Adobe plugins - #147 by daddoo - G'MIC - discuss.pixls.us

A request is open already: 486213 – [Feature request] Add more artistic (stylize) effects. Implement G'MIC / ZArt functionality inside kdenlive to fill the niche.
