Good looking KDE Plasma theme which does not initiate errors

Hello all,

It seems that several add on themes, either added through the system-settings or from the KDE Store cause programs to not function well/at all. I have seen that with Libreoffice Writer and Calc which seem to start but when the main window should appear, the program stops and does nothing anymore.
I have now switched back to the “dull” (sorry) Breeze theme and would like to have something more appealing.
One of the major problems the themes have are the icons and the window decorations.

Who has found a light theme which does work completely, AND which does look good. Now, I know that last part is very personal, but what I mean are themes with the yellow, green and red buttons in the top left of the windowdecoration, blur and translucency to create nice shiny effects.
Please let me know so I can try them to see if they are what I like to have.

Thank you very much.

Well - you were warned that the content is user-created, can include code, and isn’t tested… it’s just allowed, not supported.

First, I never actually use or apply Global themes…

I installed Klassy, I installed Nordic-Darker, PurPurNight,

For Application Style - go with Breeze, Klassy, Darkly, Kvantum.

For Window decorations - Klassy rules, but Darkly is ok if you don’t fancy going with custom colours (My minimise is blue, maximise is green, close is red and it looks superb).

Icons - eat your heart out, Slot Symbolic is good, but Breeze-Round-Chameleon, Klassy, and believe it or not, I have Tweak’s Amiga icons for a LOL.

Spend hundreds of hours tweaking colours…

Creamy is nice, and get those Arrows (anyone who had an Amiga…).

Then use Konsave to regularly save your setup 'konsave -s creamy1and apply anotherkonsave -a darkula`.

I must say that I like the creamy style better for Writer… and I have a slightly dimmed down of the best of Windows XP (much as I despise MS, that’s something they did very well).

Then you can also get a theme IN writer to give it the evil vibe:

Hello Ben, thank you very much for the tips. Especially the icons and window decorations caused a lot of trouble, but I now have some which look great and don’t bork the system.
Yes, I know about the fact that the themes are not tested and that is the reason I started this thread, to find out if others have found a theme which works and looks good.
Since I have trouble using dark themes I only use the light versions.

I now have:
Global theme: PurPurDay-Global-6
Colors: PurPurDay Color
Application style: Breeze
Plasma Style: PurPurDay-Plasma
Window Decorations: PurPurDay-Aurorae-6
Icons: Gradient-Light-Icons
Cursors: Breeze Dark
Splash Screen: PurPurDay-Global-6
Login screen (SDDM): PurPurDay-SDDM-6

So far all programs still start so it is looking good.

Thanks again.
