GPU hang when opening Appimages and few exeacutables

for quite a few updates now i have been experiencing a weird hard freeze or a gpu hang if you will when i open appimages and select linux executables. mostly hard freezes for about exactly 6 seconds depending on the size of the app image and then resumes as normal it guaranteed will freeze even if i close and open it again it will do it exactly the same way each and every time. i went through both a journalctrl and dmesg i can’t find anything really note worthy other than this

kf.config.core: “KConfigIni: In file /run/media/admin/apps/renderapp/remux, line 34222:” Invalid entry (missing ‘=’)

there are other people having issue as well as i was talking about it a little bit on reddit and someone even claims they have a workaround
my system is
ryzen 5950x
radeon 790xtx (open source MESA drivers 24.1.7)
fedora 40 KDE edition
Wayland

Looks like bug #492584 which is fixed in the upcoming Plasma 6.2 release.
