Hello friends. I have a problem. I’m using Fedora 42 KDE Plasma edition on my desktop computer for a few months now. I’ve themed both kde and gtk apps with the same theme. (Relax-light) I don’t remember how did I do it but both kde and gtk apps use the same windows decorations.(same title bar and minimize, maximize etc buttons.) The thing is a few days ago I decided to install Fedora KDE on my notebook also. I wanted to use the same theme. I installed both global plasma 6 theme and respective gtk app theme. But I noticed that while there is no problem with kde apps theme, gtk apps didn’t follow the selected theme in Gnome/GTK application style section. With the theme I especially mean window decorations like title bar and buttons there. Because I still have my desktop computer with the same theme applied on both kde and gtk apps compared settings and files and everything seemed identical. So I decided to check my desktop computer. When I tried to change the theme on my desktop computer noticed that I can’t change the theme on my desktop computer neither. In other words however I changed the theme in Gnome/GTK application style setting, it doesn’t change the actual theme. As I said, in fact on my desktop computer GTK apps was themed as I desired like kde theme used. But I couldn’t change to any different theme even to default or breeze theme. So I went further to test and deleted the theme files after backing up the folder. When I deleted the theme files after relogin gtk apps theme completely lost and turned back to default gtk theme. But even after restored the theme files and theme appeared on menu still didn’t applied. Whatever I did I couldn’t restore theme. I had to restore timeshift backup of the same day to return the gtk apps theme back to desired theme.
At this point the problem is I couldn’t achive the theme gtk apps properly. (what is important form is the windows decarations.) Selected theme on Gnome/GTK application style doesn’t apply. Nor from other settings. I have two computers at the same version of fedora and kde, with the same themes installed. One apply desired theme for gtk apps where the other doesn’t and I can’t change that theme neither of the computers.
The question is where to look? How can I properly apply selected theme for gtk apps?
