I’d really appreciate the ability to have a normal window of arbitrary size (rather than fullscreen) contain a running slideshow. This is useful for ultra-wide monitor users, as well as running slides next to something which you also need to be showing off on screen.
One possible UX flow would be to have the ‘Start Slideshow’ menu item still go fullscreen, but then in the upper corner have two options ‘Exit Full Screen’ (which preserves the slideshow controls and keeps it running within the current gwenview window) and ‘Exit Slideshow’ (which both ends the show and exists fullscreen, the current behavior for ‘exit full screen’).
